A place for my thoughts

Sometimes I have thoughts that do not quite fit into a social media post. They need more room than a few lines, and sometimes they need to remain unfinished while I work out what I actually think. That is why I am starting Signal & Brus.

In a social feed, a text can disappear almost immediately. The format can also tempt me to make it shorter, more certain or more provocative than the thought behind it. I want a place where I decide the format: a short observation one day, a longer argument the next. The subject might be the stock market, AI, politics or anything else that stays on my mind.

I am not writing to fill a feed that helps Facebook sell advertising. I want to share my thoughts at an address readers can return to. Anyone who is interested can read at their own pace, choose a subject and follow an idea from beginning to end. No algorithm needs to decide which of my posts appears in front of someone.

That does not mean I will be right. Part of the point is to test an idea, notice objections and sometimes change my mind. I do not want simply to repeat what “everyone else” has said; I want to look at the other side of the coin. Even if everyone says a pancake is round, it is also true that it is flat. Both things are true.

I have written on several blogs before, sometimes with others. Guest posts are welcome.

As I have no financial ambitions for this project, I chose a free WordPress blog.
